Does anyone know where I could get a power cord for a Transonic head? Could one of you that owns a Transonic please take a picture of the power cord for me so I know what to look for?

Thanks.

As you know Erik, the female jack on the amp is spring loaded and twist locked.
Here is the cord.

The cord has "Bayonet Release" stamped on it.

Dave, your the electrical guy, so why isn't the one on the amp the MALE half, since it's got the pins (so to speak)?

Paul is correct. It is the male prongs that are on the amp that engage the female holes on the cord.

However, it is a female socket assemble on the amp, and a male insert assembly on the cord.

Jeff, those undergarment showed up on the day after Trott spent a weekend at my house.

Erik did you try and ask Bob if he has a spare?

These are impossible to find - I am restoring another T100 and don't have the power cord. However, you can power up the amp by using a "suicide cord" which is basically a cord with two plug ends and plug it into the 110 outlet on the back of the amp. But if you do this always, and I mean always, unplug from the outlet in the wall first because it's LIVE!!! My amp tech told me this yesterday. Bob does not have any but I am searching and if I find one I'll get another. Dave, this is Kevin - I sold you my T100 right?

I sent the above pics to the guy I bought the amp from - he replies - OH, I have that cord and another (the speaker cord), c'mon over and get them! A Miracle!

The bayonet 'ends' were made by General Electric. I've already called them. They don't have any. The cords were assembled by Carol Cable. I've already called them. They don't know what they have. It would cost a small fortune to have these reverse engineered and assembled. Of course, anyone who accomplished that would have people bowing at their feet 'til the end of time.

P.S. I still have about a dozen NOS original Transonic knobs. Five bucks each, first come first serve.
