Well, not exactly today, but 20 years ago I answered an ad in a local newspaper looking for musicians to form a band.
So on April 19, 2008, we are having our official 20th Anniversary show.

We've been going in & out of style, but I think that we can make you smile. And hopefully dance.

Congratulations Greg! 20 years is a looong time in one band. Very cool!

I took a 7 year vacation from the band at one point, but I am one of four founding members that still play in the band. Our drummer & keyboard player joined in 89 or 90, and the horn section are a bunch of young whippersnappers.

So how did it go Greg?

From my point of view, we rocked the joint. The audience seemed to like it, dancing & singing along all through our set. Even when we messed up, we covered it well. No injuries (band or audience), broken equipment or embarassing screw-ups = successful gig.

Both opening bands were great.

This gig was just what I needed because I had been feeling pretty down about the band recently, and I attended a friend's funeral Saturday afternoon, so I wasn't expecting to have a lot of fun.
Now I'm looking forward to the next one! (May 9th at Clinton's Tavern )
