if it is I dont undertsand why the stereo is cheaper then the mono part? is this correct?

The stereo jack is less expensive because it does not have a switch built in to it. Any standard stereo 1/4" jack will do, and rewiring is quite simple, just run the outputs of each volume control to it's own lug on the jack.

Rickenbacker has been kind enough to provide a schematic with a stereo jack, 8022 is the correct part number.
