Word has it that Whitesnake has been working on a new studio album, called "Good to Be Bad". The album is set to be released on April 22, 2008.

Here is the track listing:

01. Call On Me
02. Can You Hear The Wind Blow?
03. Best Years
04. All I Want All I Need
05. Good To Be Bad
06. All For Love
07. Summer Rain
08. Lay Down Your Love
09. A Fool In Love
10. Got What You Need
11. 'Till The End Of Time

I have always liked David's work right from his work with Deep Purple, through the glam rock period of the 80's and on. I hope this album will be as good as some of his earlier work. Consequently I am looking forward to hearing it.

Now some may argue that Whitesnake is a metal band. But I suspect that Sean would agree, that Whitesnake' does not exclusively fit the metal genre.

Your thoughts?

They borderlined on being metal with some of the songs on Slide it In (US version) and the 87 LP, but I'm ok with them just being a good hard rock band. Their current guitarist, Doug Aldrich, grew up with my guitarist and have remained good friends over the years.

I just pulled the 1993 Coverdale - Page CD out from my meagre collection and gave it a listen. I have to say that there are songs and portions of songs that actually topped many later Led Zeppelin releases. I think mostly because Coverdale is a much better singer than Plant.

"Take Me for a Little While" for example is a superb song.
