Okay here's this week's for those who like me enjoy this bit of weekly fun, I have chosen this for a reason.

This track was credited to a Duo but was one of the first recordings made by the male singer.

Two singles were issued as part of a duo, no success, a couple of singles under a stage name, no success again, then started to record under his own name, first release did nothing but then the hits came in the 60's on both sides of the Atlantic, one of few American solo acts to make a breakthrough in UK during the beat boom.

Nice to be reminded of the pre "beat" material prevalent everywhere back then. I'm in.

Well again this did not prevent tto much of a challenge to most of you. The male on this track was in fact Gene Pitney in the days when he was part of Jamie and Jean.

Reason I chose it was Gene sadly passed away two years ago last week.
