Dick had surgery last night...he's in recovery and is expected to do fine. After some rest he has more chemo then some reconstructive sugery and yet more chemo. If anyone would like to send him a get well card you can send to:

Bump: How is Dick Dale doing in his recovery?

Lymph tests show Dick is cancer free. He's resting at home. He will need to go back in for some reconstructive surgery then more chemo/radiation treatments. He's doing well though.

I really hope Dick gets well soon. He is very special to my musical experience. His music is the very first music I can remember from being about 6 years old or so. My bother (8 years older) had a lot of Dick's records and they are my earliest musical memory.

Dick goes "back in" this Friday for reconstructive surgery then some more chemo and radiation. It's been a "journey of pain" for him but his spirit is strong. I got a short note from him yesterday "I'll be back..the gophers will not be delivering my mail"

A couple of DD vids today..first Nitro (looks kinda like Steven Segal when he has the shades on then a clip (stick with it) from one of the old Beach Party movies...we really dissed these films at the time..now they're just good fun...come back soon Dick!
