A gifted actor and a tireless advocate as well. In summary, he was a great man.

Doubt it. I bet his will says he has to be buried with them.

Ahh, the old "cold dead hands" line. For some reason, I am reminded of the opening scene of "Young Frankenstein".

I liked the "My President is Charlton Heston" NRA bumper sticker from the mid-nineties. :D :D

By the way Mr. Heston grew up in St Helen, Michigan about 80 miles east of where I live. Back in the 90's, when that sticker was on my 1988 GMC short box 4x4, I got an indirect mention in the Wall Street Journal by a New York City lady reporter, who after vacationing here, portrayed me as the quintescentual `Up Nort' back woods red neck, sighting my Heston sticker as evidence. I got a kick out of that....I've always thought of my self as more of a Walt Whitman
