RIP Milton

My Mom's cousin, Milton passed away Monday evening. As a sax player, he always encouraged me, whether I was in the high school choir, or as a 45 year old struggling to learn the guitar.
Milton toured in the 50's, 60's and early 70's with a number of big bands, including The Glenn Miller Orchestra. He also a former member of the 3rd Army band. Furthermore, he did the arrangements for Mitch Miller's TV show Sing Along With Mitch (remember the bouncing ball). Together, we emptied quite a number of bottles of Jack Daniels, with me listening to his stories of the road.
More recently, Milton gave private lessons to students at his local public middle & high schools, along with working on some freelance arrangements.
He'll be missed.
