Installing humbuckers?

So I picked up some used HBs to put in my 620. I see there is 4 wires coming off the pickups. The high gains only attach at 2 points. Anyone know if the humbuckers have to be soldiered to 4 points?
They also came with 4 rubber washers (like on the pick-guard) instead of the rubber risers. Would I need 6 washers for each pickup, with the center screws going through the washers and the side washers just wedged under the nuts that hold the pickup together? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info Ken. That's a relief. Anyone have the answer to the rubber grommet question?

Rubber grommets is the vintage method of installing pickups. The foam pad is the modern method. I believe that the foam pad provides better isolation and thus will be less likely to feed back. I would use the foam pad for the HBs.

Thanks again! I really like the look of the grommets. I wonder if the isolation would be a big difference? Not all feedback is bad : ) I do have to order a few odds and ends from Ric, and could just throw the pads in on my order. Anyone know if the grommet method requires 2 or 6 per pickup, or is that just preference?

I got my HBs installed in my 620. Sounds awesome! Dead silent until I play a note too. I've posted the high gains on Ebay.

I'm happy with the HBs in my 360 LH MG.

Looking at the pics on your ebay auction, it appears that the high gains were the version used through the eighties. Is there any chance you can measure the impedance of these?

Yes, the pickups are the same as the eighties pickups, though it's a 1990 guitar. I don't know exactly when Ric added the toaster grooves to the 90s pickups. I don't have a way to measure impedance, sorry. I can tell you that they sounded almost identical to my 1995 330. Don't know if that helps.

I have HB's in the neck positions of my 480 and 620. I used the grommets on the 620 and actually covered the HB with a toaster cover. Close up you can tell but from a distance its tough to.
