Amazing!

I wonder what those things sound like? I suspect niether like a banjo, nor like an electric guitar.

If memory serves, he recorded "Subterfuge" off of "The Hidden Land" with the Rick. Saw him and the 'tones at Wolf Trap on that tour and he broke it out then as well. One of my favorite musicians. He's incredibly gifted.

I wonder if that is his own Bantar or the one that Doug Dillard had (or has).......

When was the "Bantar" built?

Speaking of unusual Ricks, did anyone ever buy the banjoline that was on G-Base?

Very cool photo John....I am hoping to be able to see Bela and Tony Trischka (who was Bela's teacher) next month. That will be an experience.

BTW, if anyone's interested in buying one, Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto has a 1967 Bantar for sale. Nice store...I try to go in there whenever I get out to NASA Ames.

Interesting webpage - it is copyrighted 1972. Many years before Al Gore invented the internet!
