Bass Case question

Can anyone identify this case? Its the one that came with my 4003S-5, and the original owner swears that it is the one that came with the bass. It even has a little hang tag that says Rickenbacker 5-string bass.
Its a very nice case, but has no manufacter markings on it at all. The bass is a '91, I only know of the older hardshell rectanglular cases, the SKB type and the vintage reissue cases used today. Did RIC ever use this type of case?

That's not a Rick case. For the wooden cases, Rick has used Victoria and after
their demise, G&G. These are easily distinguishable by their capped ends with
2 rows of stitching and piping as well Cheney style latches.
No Rick case that I have ever encountered(but I could be wrong) has ever had
the rounded ends and looped hasp latches.
There was a different molded case before the SKBs but it wasn't used long....

Why not call it, "Biff"?
