You know, this:

1/2" spacing and non-humped pickguard... this experiment is a success!

It has been talked about, drooled over, and people are wondering what to liquidate to get it!

This seems to happen a lot around here... asking why things haven't been mentioned yet... even though they've been around for over a week!

Okay... my bad. I only check the bass forum here. Previous one-off basses from ric-outlet were discussed here.

Ditto that. It's actually been discussed quite a bit. I don't understand the fascination personally, as I am not all that fond of either black pickguards, BT, BH, or FG finishes, but everyone has different tastes, so cheers to those who like that finish! :D :D :D

The real drool factor with this(for me any way...) is the fact that the body wings
are from the famed 4002 pallet.
The hardware and pickguard can be changed with no mod to the instrument...

I like the color, but I've always liked the lighter Autumnglo's.

It's all subjective and since we do live in a mildly free but fascist regime, if you don't like
it; don't bid on it.....

There's so many ways I could answer that, I can't possibly pick just one

? ?

Good luck to the bidder on that bass. Meanwhile...
definition from Merriam-Webster online:
fascism

Main Entry: fas·cism
Pronunciation: \ˈfa-ˌshi-zəm also ˈfa-ˌsi-\
Function: noun
Etymology: Italian fascismo, from fascio bundle, fasces, group, from Latin fascis bundle & fasces fasces
Date: 1921
1often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Additional note from Wikipedia:

In contemporary political discourse, the term fascist is often a slur, used by adherents of some ideologies to describe their opponents.

Back to the topic. Best of luck to the bidder on this unique bass. :D :D :D

Eric, why was the 4003 guard changed anyway? Between the hump and radiused corners, it just doesn't look right with the contours of the body

"There were green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpy-backed camels and some chimpanzees.
Noah cried, "Close the door, cause the rain is pourin'
And we just can't wait for no unicorn."

The Ark started moving, it drifted with the tide.
The unicorns looked up from the rocks, and they cried.
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away.
And that's why you've never seen a unicorn, to this very day.

You'll see green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpy-backed camels and some chimpanzees.
Some cats and rats and elephant, but sure as you're born,
You're never gonna see no unicorn."
