Hello to all. I'm looking for 11 people to start a Mix CD club with.

If you're are interested, this is how it works:

Each club member will be assigned one month in the calender year. When your month rolls around, it will be your responsibility to compile a mix CD to send out to each of the other members.

There are no limits to what you can put on the mix. You can put on new music you'd like to share, old favorites, obscure or live tracks, or anything you like. Just make sure you fill it up.

You should make a cover with full track listing, package it, and send a copy out to each of the other 11 members by the 15th of your assigned month. If you can't commit to this, don't bother joining. Also, you need to be open to hearing new and different music.

If you're interested in joining, contact me here on the forum or via email at [email protected]. I'll coordinate the whole thing and assign months. When you contact me, send me your name and mailing address and I'll compile a list to send out to all the members. The first 11 responses I receive will be in the club. If I get enough response for multiple clubs, I'll put a couple together. Can't wait to hear from you.

C'mon. It's a great way to hear new and different music. I've been really bummed since my last CD club fell apart a few months ago (after 2 years of cool monthly mix CDs). It's great to have a new mix CD arrive in your mail box once a month. I've got 1 taker so far, but I need 10 more. Shoot me a message and you're in.

Well, I'm not getting as much response as I'd hoped. I've got 5 people interested, including myself. If I get 1 more we could do a 6 month rotation instead of a year rotation. Contact me if you're interested.

Brian, I hope we've got at least one other particiant from across the pond, because I'm really keen to hear what's happening off this continent...

I'll give it a go but I'll be prepared for banishment once you listen to my primo selections.


BTW Brian.....maybe post a link to this thread in the guitar, bass and general sections in case this forum isn't viewed as often. I'd imagine that there would be more interest but the thread just might be being missed since it's in the "other" forum. I know I only check in here when I have extra time.

Brian, glad to have you. If you could PM me with your mailing info, I'll add you to the list. I went ahead and posted this in the "General" section of the forum. If it doesn't get much response there, I'll move to the "Guitars" and "Basses" sections as well.

Paul, no one yet has joined outside the US, but hopefully we can get a better mix. Also, that brings the total to 6 people right now. If noone else responds in the next few days I'll go ahead and compile a list of addresses and assign months for the 6 of us. We can always expand.
