Longtime RIC players???

Ok historians, so who's been using a RIC the longest in the music world? Right now Roger McGuinn and Paul Kantner come to mind as they still use a RIC in their performances and albums.

Who's been playing this brand the longest?

Not who's the oldest but who has been using a RIC consistenly throughout their career. Guys like Petty and Campbell come to mind but they're new to the scene.

Blues, rock, country, even folk players... they're all eligible.

Any ideas?

Best,

Manta

Well he died recently, but Jerry Byrd played a Rickenbacker lap steel since at least the 40s, and I think there would be a couple of other lap steelers from around that time. I would definitely put McGuinn at no.1 for the rock field, though.
