This one? Exactly like the one I so foolishly passed, that was for sale locally for $3K.

It looks like it has the old A string tuner placement.
They changed that mid June of 73 (MF) so this one
is one of the last....
The BIN is ahead of the curve, but who's to say what it'll be
in a few months...
Still, very cool and only made THAT way for a month (till the A string peg moved closer to the E).

Lovely aged FG, but priced at possibly $1000 more than what these seem to go for it top condition.

Would somebody save that EgplantGlo 73 please?
NOt mine to sell, but if floating traingle CB 4001s
can go to 3900 clams, then one with all the goodies
should be a worthy resto....

The FG with floating triangles went for $3300. The force is strong when there is checkerboard present....

Wasn't there a little more metal between the bridge and pickup of the '73s? Or am I thinking of an earlier year?

You may be thinking of the pre-'69's.
