Pete Trewavas is an excellent bassist. He is in three bands; Marillion, Transatlantic and Kino.
He has a few Ricks as well as several other basses. Here he is in the band Transatlantic, using his 4000 with a cool paint job.
Transatlantic is made up of Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Neal Morse (Spock’s Beard), Pete Trewavas (Marillion), Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings). The show this video is from must have been performed shortly after 9/11.
Notice any other great Rick band members in one of the pics with them in this video?

Regarding that bass, to quote a regular around here, "What is wrong with people?"

I'm often of the same opinion, but when you think about it, one of the bass players who is most revered on this forum - Chris Squire - did many similar things. Not only that, but when Rickenbacker issued a bass that replicated one of his refinishes, many - including me eventually - went out and bought one.
Through the clip Joey posted, I saw a clip of Pete with his 4080/12:
I have no problem with folks personalizing their instruments… They did pay for them after all. Some are not my cup of tea but if everyone agreed with me all of the time this would indeed be a boring planet. I’m with John on this one – I like it. The music is good as well!!

I thought that maybe Alan was kidding because of his brown 4003.
I think if Pete's 4000 was offered up on ebay, it would fetch some pretty decent $$.
