Hey there guys.

Tomorrow we are going to upgrade the forum software from phpBB3 RC5 (Basically - we are still running a beta version of phpBB3...!) to 3.0.1.

What's new?
The upgrade will introduce very few changes to the end user, however - many bugs were ironed out as well as security issues.
Additionally - some requests will be fulfilled (like having full names appear in subsilver2).
Last but not least - the modifications that were made were re-applied to this version as well with the next upgrades in mind, hopefully the next upgrade will be less painful...

When will the upgrade happen? Will I still be able to access the forum?
The upgrade will be performed tomorrow morning Israeli time, this is around 3AM EST, the forum will not be accessible during this time, we estimate around 2 hours of full downtime.

Backups will of course be performed before the upgrade will start, if something goes wrong - we will revert to the current version.

Thanks for posting this message, Gil. Further, I cannot begin to thank you enough for all your efforts in this regard. Since you took over the upgrades, moving to the next upgrade has been a lot less stressful.

Thanks to all y'all (as it is said in the southern US) for your efforts. What a great place to hang out on the web. And no worries here in Kansas USA, I've got an early morning gig at the Farmers' Market (7 AM to 11 AM local time). It's Spring on the Prairie, a great time to be out of doors.
