What's the difference between the 350V63 and the325C58? Is the V63 just larger?

There's a ton of differences, just look at the spec sheets on Ric's website. I've owned both and they're totally different guitars. Body wood, scale length, tuners, pickups, pickguard, 5th knob, fretboard finish, depth of body, hollowness, bridge, and tailpiece are all different. I don't think they share a single part of note in common, and you can tell when you play one.

... and perhaps the pickup switch. That's why I said they probably don't share a single part of note in common

Then there's the lockwashers on the jack.

Maybe wire?

I know---they both use the same solder! The same conversion varnish! The same wood filler!

Maybe they're not parts, though...

See the multitude of threads on the differences between the c58 and the c64/v63. The 325c64/v63 will have similar/identical features, but in a short scale.

Welcome to the forum, Andrew! In addition, all the numbers and letters in the model are different except for the beginning '3'.

Aren't they both based off of the old 325 model that John Lennon used? Thanks for all the replies btw.

alright, besides all the other stuff these guys just mentioned- the main difference between the two is the scale length. a 350 is long (full) scale, and a 325 is a 20.5"(i think..) short scale guitar.

John Lennon played the 325. They basically created the 350 for people that couldn't handle the tiny close frets of the 325.

There's also a multitude of variations on both the 325 and 350 models (V____, C____, Hamburg, Miami, JL sig., etc etc...) so your question is somewhat broad.

Like most people say, with the 325/350 models- play one in person before you buy- there's a huge difference.

Cheers,
-Collin

Yes, they both resemble John's 325, but only the 325C58 & 325C64 are actually based off of John's. If that makes sense

The C58, in particular, is an exhaustively-researched copy of JL's Hamburg-purchased short scale. It's a pretty faithful reconstruction of a short-scale Rick from the late '50s, "warts and all," as John Hall has said. This means open-backed antique butterbean tuners, unvarnished fretboard, reverse-direction tone pots, and especially the quirky Kauffman Vib-Ro-La vibrato and roller bridge, which, taken together, make this model a love-it-or-hate-it proposition.

It was the first Rick I ever fell for, but one of my most recent acquisitions--over three years on. And I love it! No other Rick sounds quite like it, and it is a delight to play if your fingers are slender enough. Despite many reports to the contrary, I have no difficulty intonating mine and keeping it in tune. It's light, sweet-sounding and a gas to play.

Yes, I'd go for the short scale...they're too much fun to pass up!
