Quest for Festeroo

On family dvd day, We decided on a Les Claypool Film called "Electric Apricot Quest for Festroo" What a fun Movie. The first band scene all three of us yelled out he's playing a Ric. I believe it is the 4003 model. It was a delight to see. Has anyone seen the film yet?

You bet! I am a big Claypool fan. He wrote and directed this movie, a sort of "Spinal Tap" mockumentary about the current jam band scene. Claypool stays away from the bass in the movie and plays the drummer instead. Great mix of characters. Very funny! It got great reviews but he never got funding for more than very isolated theatrical releases. National Lampoon ended up taking it on. I have been waiting a long time for this DVD. I also bought the soundtrack, and pre-ordered it so I got it autographed by Les himself! The soundtrack is not great on its own (no classics like "Big Bottom"!).
The bassist playing a FireGlo Rick was a bonus.

This is the first time we have seen it in the dvd store. I don't know if it is for sale, but you can rent it. IT is a fun movie. We also get the dewy cox walk hard. It has a lot of nice guitars in it. (Martins) But the movie it was good for about the first 45 minutes then it started to fail. Festroo keeps you on it the whole time.
