Foreign Policies

I recently e-mailed Guitarville, in Texas I believe about a Rick guitar i wished to buy, the site talks about shipping to Canada (where i hail from) and Europe, so I decided to give them a shout about the shipping costs and etcetera. I received an e-mail back, and he says Rickenbacker does not allow guitars to be shipped from the United States. I am wondering is this true, or is it a crock?

Thanks,

Marc

It's true. US Dealers are not allowed to ship outside the US or Canada or something like that. I'm sure it has to do with foreign distributor agreements.

Unless it has changed US dealers can ship to Canada but not off of the North America continent. You may want to contact RIC for the current policy.

The US market is USA, Canada, and Mexico. Anything else violates. Unless its changed from a few months or so ago when JH commented on the RIC forums.

Marc - they can definitely ship to Canada. Just keep in mind that you will be responsible for any brokerage charges to clear customs as well as GST and PST (or HST) on the declared value.
