I received a brand new Ric 325c64 today (as a birthday present to myself). It's the latest edition to my 325 collection. It joins my 325c58 JG with Lennon mods, 325/12v63 and 1996 reissues. I have vintage 60's era Pyramid flatwounds on it and it sounds great. I bought three sets on ebay and they sound really good for being 30-40 yrs old. I bought it from Mike Parks at the Rickenbacker Page. It's dated February 2007.

Thanks, Lefty. I need to get pictures of all of my 325s together sometime this weekend. I'm still learning how to post pictures in this forum.

Congrats Mike, saw your post in the other thread.

My personal recommendation, T-I Jazz/Swing Flat 12s, but to each his own of course!!

The c64 was worth the wait, IMO!

Enjoy!!! Bill

Thanks, Bill. I have TI's flats on a Strat and I really like them. The vintage Pyramids have a different quality than the modern Pyramid nickle flats I have on my 1996. They are very close, but the vintage ones have a slightly brighter tone to them.

On your Strat, huh? Hmmmm...something to think about there. What gauge are you using? I'd think maybe the T-I 11s if the Strat uses 10 rounds?

I have them on my Jazzmaster, but never tried them on the Strat.

I have TI 11's on the Strat and they sound great. I've never tried 10's.

It's a modified 1991 with Toasters and Accent Vibrola. It's my Rutlebacker! It's modeled after Rutle Ron Nasty's (Neil Innes) famous axe. He even autographed a pickguard for me. :D
