LIVE in Brussels, Belgium-1971

Again, Gene Parsons looks like a car-jacker, Skip battin a serial killer, Clarence White a nose w/hair, and Jimmy Seiter, the town mescaline dealer.

I'm teasing of course; this is a great performance with some great playing. Being the "Original 5" nut that I am, I had forgotten how much I liked "Truck Stop Girl"; Clarence's "Dusty & Creaky" vocal fits the song beautifully, like a glove. VERY COOL chord modulations in this song as well.

It's funny to hear that Ricky 370/12 pumped up w/overdrive for "Baby, what you want me to do"!! :-)

I think the ONLY song I've EVER used distortion on a Rick-12 would be Zeppelin's "Living Loving Maid"; try it guys, it sounds RIGHT!!

And more from the "Roy Orbison Tribute Dress Rehearsal":

We get to hear just the rythym section of TTT, while Roger fiddles with his amp. :-)

Sorry these three clips are brief. :-(

Up in the VERY NEAR future:

THE BYRDS DEBUT ON TELEVISON-MAY 8, 1965!!!

You now have 68 Byrds, and related videos to peruse.

ALL in chronological order.

Get 'em here:

Enjoy. :-)

Man Christian, I have NO idea where you find these gems. Thanks. These are great.

And Si, after seeing those cheese eatin' grins on both Roger's & Croz's faces, I kinda wish they would get back together, too. But it ain't gonna happen, so we may as well get used to it.

Re: the "Forest National Stadium" video, and "Jimmy Seiter, the town mescaline dealer" - I met and spoke with Jimmi at intermission outside a Byrds gig in South Jersey 1971. He acted like the town mescaline dealer as well. 8)
Actually, he was pretty cool. He spoke about the hickey's all over my neck - he was quite amused. I'm not sure why I remember it so well, but Clarence was standing a few feet away talking to some other people, and what struck me is that he was so short! I'm 5' 6" and he was a bit shorter than me - but dressed in his "Nudie Suit" type clothes, he looked great. He was great.
Oh yeah, the show was killer also

These are great! Tyanks so much. I am an original 5 guy too, but they did some cool songs throughout. "Wasn't Born to Follow" is one of my Top Ten.

Best,

T
