1979 4001 screws

Post by MichaelStewart »

I have a 1979 4001 MG that has rusted screws and needs new ones.

Anyone know what the stock numbers are for the pickguard, pickup and jack plate screws are? The RIC Boutique does not state which screws are for what.

Does anyone carry a package of all of the screws for one instrument?

These screws will work for the tuners, pickup surround, jack plate, and TRC:

The head is a little different, but RIC doesn't use screws that are identical to the ones used in '79. Same length and thread though.

This one will work for the pick guard and is more or less identical to the ones used in '79(but there is no photo):

This screw will hold the pickup to the pick guard and is more or less identical to the screws used in '79:

Michael, you can see some of the part numbers indicated here:

http://www.rickenbacker.com/pdfs/4003.pdf

05200 Mounting Screws, Nameplate

05202 Mounting Screws, Pickguard

and here:

http://www.rickenbacker.com/pdfs/jacks.pdf

05200 Screw (same one as above is used for the jackplate)

These are the ones Jeff has indicated in the links above.
