Hey gang,
As the title of this thread states I will be away from the forum for a few days R&R. Lord willing and barring unforseen events I shall return. In the meantime Scott Baillie and Mike Snow will be looking after things and I know that they will keep this place rockin'.
By the way they have both recently agreed to help me out here in this section on a regular basis, as believe it or not this place can be pretty time consuming.
Thanks Mike and Scottie for helping out it's very much appreciated.
I'll catch up with you all in a few days.
Brian

Damn, and i was thinking about asking these two to help me "looking after" the rebel music section cause thanks to work, my brain refuses to operate.
Have a nice "time off", Brian, you fast man!
And i thought "donut" was a (or would it be "an"?) euphemism for a stand-up comedian.

I'm doing the best I can on that one Sheena, but no one seems interested in it. Too bad, it's much more interesting than debates on wood screws versus metal.

I suspect Brian is heading off to his other abode up in the mountains. And I don't blame him........... it's awesome up there!!
Have a safe and happy time, mate.

Thats' exactly where I am off to Aitch. I need a few days R&R. I am taking my old trusty battered and bruised "Blackie" Strat with me and I am going to celebrate the Canada Day holiday by sitting back and relaxing for a few days.

Thanks Scotty I will. I have a bit of maintenance and work to do around the place as always, but overall it will be a nice relaxing extra long weekend.
Thanks for the good wishes everybody. I'll catch up with you next week. This section of the forum is in great hands whilst I am away. Have fun guys because if you aren't having fun, it's probably not rock and roll.

Ich bin ein Berliner?
Actually, despite the urban legend, this is the correct German for the phrase, I am "like" a berliner.
It is true there is a jelly donut called the Berliner.
If he would have said Ich bin Berliner, he would be saying he IS actually a citizen of Berlin, which is not true. It is the "ein" that confuses non Germans.
As pointed out in one of the urban legends sites, no one would confuse someone saying they are a New Yorker for the magazine!

A donut is a term in Scotland for a Numpty!
