Hi folks, as some of you may have read here , I`ve been looking for an older Vox amp .... Berk, Guardsman, Viscount, etc. Well I finally pulled the trigger on one this week and I`m praying for it`s SAFE arrival next week.

I got a Berkeley II rig ... head, cab, tolley .... in great cosmetic and, according to the guy I got it from, great playing conition as well. I`ve had numerous e mail and phone conversations before buying it and am hoping for the best.

But .......... it doesn`t come w/ the footswitch / pedal. Anyone have one hanging around they don`t need ? When I didn`t need one, they were all over E bay. Now that I`m looking for one :(

Please let me know if anyone can help me out. Here are some pics the guy had of the amp. I`ll report on it when it gets here.

Thanks, Mike.

Whoa, $150. I think I`ll keep an eye out for a used one for a while.

Nothing ? I gotta say, I`m surprised at how difficult it`s been to find one of these footswitches. :?

I dunno if I mentioned this in a previous post, but my first VOX amp was one of these; back in '67 must've been. I paid close to $400.00 and was pretty disappointed when I gigged it for the first time. They are really stylish, but down on power. In fact, in a small room I could not be heard over the drum kit. And to think I coulda had a Bandmaster for equal simoleans.

This time 'round, I had Gary at NCM make me one of his "Beatles in Oz/HK" SS amps, except with an AC30-type bottom cab, to replicate an original '66 Guardsman. It's 100W, modelling with effects (good digital slap-back echo) and has plenty of power for most smaller jobs. For bigger stuff I've got a tube 50W head I can plug in.

Nice rig(s), Paul W!

If you want to get more power out of your Berkeley II, you can learn how to have it modded to safely do so here: http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/v ... oxprot.htm

Happy playing!! :D
