Do all Ric 4003's have this .0047 mfd cap? And if so, can a push pull switchpot replace one of the originals in oerder to make this switchable? My bass doesn't seem to lack much lows on the bridge PU. It can be it has far more, but I never heard without the cap.......

Of course I could make a mini toggle switch in the scratchplate, but I rather keep my bass as original as possible - at least the looks of it.

Ric discontinued the bass cut capaciter in 1980 ... the modern bass amps and modern bass strings rendered it obsolete ...

but for those of you who want the 60's sound you can install it in post 1980 bass ... some of our members here even add a toggle switch to bypass it when desired ...
