I'll Cry Tomorrow

A Searchers tune that I personally am quite fond of is the flip side of "Western Union". "I'll Cry Tomorrow" has lovely chord shifts, a truly heart-felt vocal from Mike Pender and strong harmonies on the chorus backing him up.
I have this song on the Collectables label "Searchers 30th Anniversary" CD. I've never seen much comment on the tune and it's one of their best original compositions. It is credited to Pender-McNally-Stevens (any idea whom the latter is?). The melody is pretty and the song deserves to be recognised. One odd thing about it, on the fade it sounds like John Blunt goes into one of his drum smashing bits again...
