Anyone know what size the string height adjustment allen screws are ?

Apparently, I have every allen wrench in creation apart from that one.....

1/16" is the one that just fit into my 4003 bridge. Whether or not they've changed the size of that screw over the years, I don't know. But maybe that'll be a start.

Standard inch set should include 5/16 - 1/4 - 7/32 - 3/16 - 5/32 - 1/8 - 3/32

Standard Milli set should include 10 - 8 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2.5 - 2 - 1.5

If it is a really small broach size, my guess would be a 1/6" which isn't always included on a standard set. A 1.5mm is also extremely close to 1/16" at .059"

RIC sells the correct size wrench on their website:

I think the part number is 2902 which is a 1/16" allen wrench.

Edit: Hmmmmmm...Looks like a couple other people had the same answer! :) They haven't changed sizes over the years. At least...not since the gap-toothed aluminum tail piece was replaced. All of mine from 1973 to the present are the same.

Indeed it is 1/16" I got a wrench for it today. I also know why I was hopelessly confused as usual.

Some previous owner had stripped out the interior hex of one of the screws, and of course that was the one I was testing on.....

Does anyone know if part no 05301, the set screw, is the correct replacement for that screw ?

Duh.

You can grab a 6-32 x 5/8 long cup point set screw at any local hardware store.
