Time for my annual trip across the Pacific to pester you poor sods again, so here are the time-honoured warnings:

1. Lock up your grog!

2. Lock up your grannies and send your wives on a holiday!

3. Stay away from drinking contests with me!

4. Laugh when I play guitar and you're risking serious injury!

I'll be staying with PW for a bit then down to the SoCal festivities then back to SF before I head off to BC to spend some time with Brian.

If you can possibly avoid me........ do so!!

Only a few days before I climb into the big silver bird and fly off into the wild blue nether. I've installed a countdown thingy above my desk at work in case I forget the number of days to go:

As much as I'd love to, Pete, the sunny (or otherwise) shores of Pommieland are not on the radar. However, next year I'll be there for your entire summer....... 5 hours, isn't it?

Did he say he was coming to visit me? I thought that was happening next year? What I am gonna do with the ladies curling team that are visiting me from Stockholm?

Btw I never laugh when Aitch plays guitar......................he always has this look on his face like he's strangling something.

I always send my wife away in the summer..............even when he is not coming here (just in case).

Grog is no problem. I don't keep any around long enough. It might go stale.

I know better than to try and drink him under the table. It's not a pretty sight.

Trying to avoid him is a bit troublesome. Mind you he does get lost a lot. I should perhaps buy a GPS homing device so I can keep an eye on his whereabouts this year.

Have fun, Aitch! You'll be in my thoughts.... I'll especially be thinking of you and everyone at SoCal when Billy D. and I are onstage August 1. Our opening song will be "A Thousand Miles Away," and it will go out to you all!
