My fiancee makes fun of me sometimes for the things that I watch. The simple fact is this: that show was quality, no matter the decade. It was funny and well-written and very well acted. I am choosy about the episodes though, and stick to the earlier seasons while Don Knotts was still with the show. To me, he's one of the funniest comic actors of that era. Watching an episode of Andy Griffith is like watching MASH in some of the later seasons after Trapper John, Henry, Radar, and others had departed. The chemistry was forced.

I like the ultra skinny tie and tab collar shirt worn by the prosecuting attorney.
