Is The Factory OK?

With the word of the earthquake in Los Angeles yesterday, I am hoping that all is well at the Factory.

Hardware products off the top shelf at ACE is one thing, but new Rickenbackers quite another.

No problems here, other than a few rattled nerves.

I was in the paint booth when it happened, and when I turned to look at all the guitars hanging, they were all swinging to and fro in precise unison. Kinda cool to see, especially since they didn't make contact with each other! The place was rockin' though :)

Jeff: He is an early bird but it takes one to know one. I note that you joined the RRF very early in the day some years ago? :)

True, but Eric is in California and I am in Ohio, three hour time difference!

You have to be to beat the traffic and get to work on time here!

I'm glad everything and everyone at RIC is fine.

Glad to hear the news that everything's OK. Did I say I had a self-serving reason for my well wishing?

Must've looked like a bad '80s metal or Skynard show in there.

Well, the shift starts at 6:00am, so I like to get here about 5:20-5:30 to get everything organized for the day in a relaxed fashion instead of rushing around when the shift starts. That way everyone is ready to go to work when the bell rings.

No traffic at that time either!

What time does the shift end Eric? Do you have an early start to the day for your personnel to beat the heat and the traffic or is it more complicated than that?

I am glad all is well btw.

Hey Francesco! All is well, as a lifelong Californian, I'm used to the earth moving from time to time! I hope all is well with you in Rome :)

Brian, the production shift begins at 6:00am and ends at 2:30pm. Not sure about the reason behind those hours, but it sure is nice getting home at a decent hour, and not being mired in traffic. Since I'm somewhat of an earlybird, the start time is great, especially for the previously mentioned traffic concerns.

Good to hear it's all OK! No 'Splatterglo' eBay one-offs, then?

Nah, we only do those on Monday mornings...
