DONG DONG . . . Law & Order Rick

Most of you have seen it, an old episode of Law & Order from 2002. Briscoe and Green search the murder scene of a dead woman who was an entertainer. They look around the place and see lots of music gear, then walk over to a Rickenbacker 4003 Fireglo bass on a stand. My wife records L&O off the various cable stations, so we were bound to run into this episode again. Episode title is "Tragedy on the Rye" and here is the pertinent dialog:
(B=Briscoe, G=Green)
G - She was some kind of actress . . .
B - . . . slash (/) musician . . .
(both walk over to the 4003 on stand)
G - Small neck (instrument's), made for a woman's hands . . .
B - I always wanted to learn guitar.
G - It's actually a bass - a Rickenbacker.
B - Is that good?
G - It was good enough for Elvis
B - Ah, now you're in my neck of the woods!
G - I'm talking about Elvis Costello.
B - Who's on First.
Before I joined this forum, I had communicated with someone (name escapes me now) at RIC and I mentioned that I had just seen this episode. He said he had set up the "product placement" and mention as he (RIC guy in PR) was a big L&O fan. Wonder who ended up with the bass?
