Were The Move actually billed as Bev Bevans Move Jim, he is the only link with the group that had the hits.

The Hitmen for those who will not be aware contains Mick Avory ex Kinks Eric Haydock ex early Hollies and others are people who were associated with 60's groups bt were not part of the hit making years.

Were these Hitmen the same band that had a single called "Bates Motel" in the early 80s?

They were billed as The Move. There are two originals in the band, Bev and Trevor Burton.

The Hitmen, were called The Class of '64 until last year when Chip Hawkes left. The line up is now:-
Mick Avory (Kinks)
Eric Haydock (Hollies)
Martin Lyon (Love Affair)
Ted Tomlin
Graham Pollock

Technically Jim were they billed as The Move featuring Bev Bevan and Trevor Burton, yet another of these fallouts over a name.

I did not relaise trevor Burton had joined Bev Bevan though, he did not initially.

Interesting reply to Roy Wood who is not happy about how they are billing themselves here

This is my favourite Move song, never a Single wasted on an album but in my view a Clough's Classic
