What is your favorite series/era for Rics.

Mine will always be the Rose Morris series. They had the oddest and the COOLEST Rics!

Behind that are the Artist Limited Editions and the V Series/C Series

RM's for me... :)

However, that late 60's and very early 70's stuff, (LS/21 fret/slant fret, etc..) is possibly the coolest period in my humble...

I've played only one '50s Rick and a number from the '60s to the present. When I think of all of the instruments I have kept and lately sought out and they're all '60s Ricks (two 335s and a 365 OS). The slim neck and smaller headstock, 21 frets, toasters, crushed pearl, full length inlays on the 360/365... they're the best! I have two from '66 and one from '68 and they're all incredible instruments. Just need a 12 string and a bass now (hey, I can dream!)

Had to pick 70s-90s. The 85-87 necks are the best. 79 is the new 73. And come on, the signature editions!!!

Although the catagory says '70's to '90's, my favorite era starts with the truss rod change; making it more late '80's to '90's. I like the smaller inlays, I don't mind the bigger headstock and yes, as a matter of fact, I do use all 24 frets.

:D

The early-mid 80s models have the mega-gumby headstocks, while the 90s models seem havesharper curves, and a slightly smaller profile-it varies by year. I have an Nov`84, a Jun `91, and a Jan`97 and they're all different.

My vote goes with the hope that there may be a 4001V68 someday.

For looks, the Rose Morris period. For players, the 70's-90's era. But my vote went to the Vintage/C series because my wish list is filled with them.
