Rickenbacker doubleneck project

I'm looking for some tips on someone to help modify a Rickenbacker doubleneck. As it is now, this guitar has a 6 string on top and a bass on bottom. It was clearly once two guitars; the seam joining them is quite visible. The bottom neck is the typical 4001/4003 set neck, but the top neck is a bolt on.

The guy who has it wants a 12-string on top, not a 6 string. So the obvious solution would be to get somebody to fabricate a Rick-style 12-string neck that could replace the bolt-on on top. It might also be possible to modify the headstock to a 12 string.

So I'm looking for suggestions on who might do a nice job with this--we really don't want a Fender neck, but one that looks like a Ric and matches the other one. Any ideas about this?

We've got shows schedules for November (it's a Genesis tribute band), so we're hoping to get the work completed before then, or at least by the end of the year. We can ship this beast out immediately.

Welcome to the forum, John.

I recommend that you post this also under The Vibrola section where our luthiers-in-residence are sure to see it and be able to advise you accordingly.

Thanks, Gary. I just posted this on the Vibrola section, as you suggested. Fingers crossed I'll find the person we need for this job.
