I just wanted to express my appreciation for the warm welcome given to me at this year's SoCalCon by Miss Cindalee. I rolled in from the desert looking like something the cat dragged in; I hoped she wasn't just screening me  but, no she was just being friendly :D There weren't too many rick-o-femmes there, so we chatted off and on through most of my (sadly) brief visit.
Cindalee, thanks and nice meeting you. Let's hear from you sometime.

As in Cindalee Hall. A very dear woman and a joy to talk to always.

At one point I told her a horror story, about the Rickenhackers on EBay. She seemed concerned  Hope I didn't shock her. Then we talked about the scarcity of 4005's out there. There my knowledge ends, so the rest was girl talk, I guess.

She probably even pretended to know what a 4005 is too. Or should I say was.

I didn't get to chat with her as much as I should have at the 75th, but I gotta say...she reminded me very much of one of my favorite people on planet earth...my Mom!

Kira, I didn't even realize you were at SoCalCon, we must have gone on different days or something!

Oh well, coming out next year?

Cheers,
-Collin

Ps....my favorite RickenGrrl is a Kira as well, Kira Roessler from Black Flag (on Bass)!

Cool, Rick girls named Kira rule 8) look, her outfit even matches her bass , black & blue.

Colin, I was there Saturday afternoon, just for a few hours. It was a last minute decision to actually go, and I didn't really know anyone so I rolled on home. I'd love to get organized for the weekend next year; there will be so many people there whom I feel I know better now, even since the confluence. It was a blast seeing Kenny's set and so many great guitars (and I even took one home!).
By next year we'll all be old friends :D

haha, totally. Anybody I did know at SoCalCon I had met only days earlier. I had too many plans that weekend, so I couldn't stay longer, and was only there on Sat. but I'm already gearing up for next year!

Cheers,
