How many times have you seen something that you really want on Ebay only to see that it is at the other end of the country and says 'Pick up only'?

Or maybe the seller has zero feedback and you're not sure if all is well.

How about if you post here to see if anybody is close to the seller and could help with the transaction?

Maybe check it out for you before you bid, pick it up if you win and possibly ship it or hold it until you sort out a courier?

We have a great network of members throughout the UK, let's see if we can put it to mutual benefit.

This has worked successfully here in the US, so I hope that it will in the UK.

Occasionally I hear of a trans-atlantic pickup-only deal that works out thanks to members on both sides, one coming for holiday or such.
