Who is your favorite Heartbreaker? We all love Tom, so he's not an option. Out of the sidemen, who is your favorite?
I'd say my vote goes to Mike Campbell. He's a guitar god, knows many styles, plays anything with strings (as well as drums, harmonica and piano) and is the only one I know who proved the Strat, Les Paul, Tele and SG players that "a Ric isn't a lead guitar" (or something like that).
This video shows what he can do with a 350 (yeah, John Biscuti, I forgot this one! ) :
Don't get me wrong, I love Benmont Tench, too. He's a great pianist who can play anything with keys, but if I could choose one, it'd be Mike.

Mike's 350 in that video seems two sport two pickups and is missing the fifth knob. Does anyone know the history of that guitar?

It's been discussed before. All I know is that that pickguard is definitely from a 325v59. It is also rumored to have a modified bridge pickup. May have been custom made by the Ric factory, but no confirmation at this time.

Always liked Stan Lynch. There's something about singing drummers.

Well, I can't find fault in any Heartbreakers current or otherwise. But beings this is a poll, I'll have to send me vote to Mike. In my mind, if the 2nd In Command didn't pull out all those downright awesome riff's and song writing skills from his inner sanctum, there would be a lot less TPaTH hits.

Had to go with RB. We've never met, but he is my cousin. Blood is thicker than guitars.

No kidding, eh? How do know he's your cousin? Do you have any contact info on him? If you do get to meet him, ask him why he's never made a RM 1999 or 4001V63 his main bass instead of the Fender Jazz! (for the record, I love the Fender Jazz bass just as the 4001S)

Mike Campbell! He and George Harrison are my two favorite guitarists...
Mike can cover so many different styles, and he is phenomenal live.
I've met both Mike and Benmont, and they were both very nice .

When TP and the Heartbreakers did "Saving Grace" on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno (two summers ago), Blair was playing a Jetglo Ric bass. However, when I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl concert a few weeks later, he never played a Ric bass the whole evening.
