Where did you read/hear this? Maybe Jon is too ill to tour and this is temporary, perhaps? Or too ill to continue with the band...

As long as Steve and Chris are there, I'm in! I had a rather difficult month, first with a head injury and then with T.S. Hanna cutting my much needed Virginia vacation short  Yesterday, I blew off some steam by blasting DRAMA in its entirety with the bass cranked - I need a YES concert! Hope they schedule a show in Hampton Roads, as I also need a good reason to head back down there.

whoa-don't do that to me! i just spent an hour bouncing around that link! i am seriously sad that jon apparently won't be doing any more touring-i do look forward to hearing any new music from the guys, though. it seems like there are a lot of "possibilities" from the yes camp, most of which never seem to see the light of day,but i never tire of hearing what they come up with. one of the cool things i noticed on that link, was a possible release of some live flash (peter banks) material,as well as the hint of anderson/banks and anderson/rabin songwriting sessions.

Your wrong...
Yes is the combination of 5 GREAT Players
They have Never let the fans down in 40 years, maybe because Chris has been there for every version of the band ;)

You will see,
they will rock!

Hi Mia and welcome!

I submit that you give Drama a good listen (if you haven't already). But I do agree that Jon is much of YES, both behind the mic and behind the scenes. He is certainly their voice, although Chris' voice has as much to do with the YES sound as Jon's, in my opinion. Trevor Rabin once said that "Put any band behind Jon Anderson and it will sound like Yes" but I couldn't disagree more. Yes to me is Jon, Steve and Chris. Take away any of those three and you take away from the core sound.

Jon's retirement from Yes will sadden me, but it is only a matter of time for any of them, as health issues and good old Father Time leave their mark. They cannot go on forever, which is why my main wish is for another studio record. But times being what they are, it is now more profitable to tour.

Norway is a beautiful country, I was there for a time in 1984. Please visit our forum often. :D

Sorry for my rudeness but I'm tired of all the YES bashing..
Jon's refused to tour for 3 or 4 years and the other members of the band are tired of waiting..
Jon IS a BIG part of YES..but he is a Part of YES...
They are a GREAT Band..A BAND..it's not a solo tour..it's a band..and times change and people change and bands change....it's music. GREAT MUSIC!

40 years of great music and I want More!

OK ''LETS SEE..
Whos in a band on here???
don't you want to kill your band mates ..sometimes.LOL
But when your on stage and playing..IT's GREAT!
So lets see Chris onstage live here in 2008..
The tour starts in november here an the eastcoast and it will be GREAT to see Steve, Chris and Alan playing the songs we love and grew up on.
It's also a chance for me to share the YES concert experience with my kids..
Will it be the same as it was in the 70's ..No.I won't eat acid this time but I will enjoy the Shiet out of seeing Chris Play his Rick!

And understand..over at the YESFANS site people are just rippin at the New singer thing so I'm POed..
Just sit back and enjoy and maybe watching Chris we will learn something about playin the Bass. He is the MASTER of Bass..don't you agree?

I'm outa here..and going to search for my next Bass ;)
and wait for YES tickets to go onsale!!!!

YES

Who is bashing Yes here? :? Opinions and discussion are welcome. As for YESFANS, I don't go there, so I don't know what anybody is saying, but here, they get nothing but respect.

My favorite Yes has Jon, Chris and Steve in it.

That being said, I pretty much like anything Steve Howe has ever done or been in. I will see Yes as long as Chris and Steve are still playing. I would prefer that Jon be there, but I am willing to see what this new guy can do. I am also curious about Oliver Wakeman playing.
