The Searchers recently found themselves back in the album charts after an absence of 43 years.(Album Charts)

Universal Music have started issuing a number of releases of various artist's back catalogues and have been successful, we have seen the return of Bobby Vee,Bachelors, Petula Clark, to name just three,to the charts.

The Searchers CD simply called "The Very Best Of" peaked at number 11 but they were recently present ed with Silver Discs for the album.

I am sure that this must few so very good for The Searchers who were probably not expecting to hit the charts again in their career.

For a number of groups, having their original releases in a successful movie is another way to enter the charts again.
