Pictures of Rickenbackers in Norway

Post by lars »

Most people on this forum are suckers for great pictures (any picture!) of Rickenbackers. So let's get the digital camera out of the drawer!

I'm happy to start:

Lars: A beautiful stable of Rickenbackers.

Mia: I love the silver.

Thanks goes out to both of you for sharing your Rickenbackers.

This bass was later stolen :(
Oh I can remember the sound I got out of that bass

I envy you, Mia :D

Mia: Based on the photos you have sent, your 1975 4001 appears to be a silver finish. Am I correct? Is it silver?

I am asking for clarification as the best available information that I have is that this finish was used during the 1980s. A look at our Register would generally confirm this.

If your instrument is silver and an orginal finish, which it surely appears to be, then this is valuable information about the timeline of this colour.

Its not silver. Its white/cream.

Thanks, white fits better with the history of Rickenbacker finishes. Time for me to get new glasses. :)
