Avatars
Re: Avatars
On the subject of Avatars, can we please get 150px wide ones? 100px square is just too small.
Re: Avatars
That would be up to Mr. M and Mr. D.
Re: Avatars
Hmm... dunno, sometimes I have to scrolll to the right as is, that would exacerbate the problem, wouldn't it?

Not necessarily. The sidebar that contains the user info and avatar has a width that already could easily accomodate a larger avatar image in its current form. Although I think 150 pixels is a bit much for an avatar...this is a guitar forum, not an art gallery. I'd go with something like 120x120 pixels. That would be a 400 pixel improvement in resolution and large enough without being obtrusive or distracting.jdogric12aolcom wrote:Hmm... dunno, sometimes I have to scrolll to the right as is, that would exacerbate the problem, wouldn't it?
From an admin standpoint, the physical dimensions of the image is not really an issue. It's the size of the image file that matters. It's all about bandwidth and server storage space. Keeping the 20K file size limitation for avatars but bumping up the maximum dimensions shouldn't be a problem...but that's for the site's owners and admins to decide, of course.

Re: Avatars

Re: Avatars
I'm new here, but added one for me already. The headstock cresting wave always reminded me of Bob Big Boy's hairdo. I guess I could name my bass Bob, but that just seems to self-referential.
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.
Re: Avatars
Welcome, Bob. I'll never look at a Rick bass headstock the same way anymore.
All I wanna do is rock!
Re: Avatars
Hmm, you know? You're right!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Downsizing is everywhere!

Here is a minefield of possibilities of avatars for Kira!
