Here are my recent used purchases. I do love the sharpness of the 330, especially those with wounds. When I opened the case to the '88 Goldenglo a massive aroma of smoke and bars permeated my living room. I'm not a cigarette smoker, but I instantly fell hard for it, and the experience I'm sure it measures. The truss rod removal shows the age, distinct colorization, and waves. The '90 Fireglo had its own severity in battlescars, including truss cover damage and deep back scratching. It's all good and the their spirits live...besides, chicks dig scars! The Natives have spoken...

Sweet guitars, I really dig the personalizations you did to them. Are those painted on or stickers/decals?

The non-ambering under the TRC and pickguards is a common occurrence. Even my 650S exhibits it, and it's an oiled finish.

I drew the logo, cut a stencil and exacto knifed the sticker with strips of tape. It is an arduous, sharp chore, but worth the effort. Many of my axes receive the treatment and the scalp. It reminds me of my dad, as does the homemade truss rod cover. Obviously, he is Apache, and was born in '32. I changed the shape a bit and chose not to by a new one. This effort looks vintage-ish.

Addendum: This axe had severe scars on the back. The sanding was tiresome, but in the end, it's my wounded friend, and I trust him! Some of you cats may have seen this on the 'bay a few weeks ago! Incidentally, I made a third, and last for a while, purchase recently. It should arrive soon...wisdom!

It's great to see pictures on this forum of guitars that have actually been played, rather than museum collectors pieces that sit in their cases most their life.

A quick flick, puff, blow and case closing, and the smoke might do your Rick/friend the favor. I wouldn't doubt many forum brothers would vehemently disagree with the desire of a "smokin'" guitar.

I became quickly attatched to box guitars. I've always preferred natural tones to paint, and loved my mapleglo the moment it arrived. I was relunctant before purchase due to the black hardware. However, once it arrived, I quickly changed my mind and his name to Goldenglo.
The Fireglo needed a lot of work so I feel the "nuturer" tag suffices. I've also got another 80's ?glo on the way and will be torn again as to my favorite. A father has difficulty choosing when all his sons aim to please...we'll see.

Addendum: As an English teacher I abhor poor grammar, at least in my own text. Forgive the atrocious last line of my previous response. To reiterate, (I recently made another 330 purchase. It will be my last for awhile).
