Hi gang. I got what I believe is a '59 950 FG. When I got it everything was disconnected. It has two flatback toasters, a 3-way rotary switch, two knobs (1v/1t?) and a mono jack. How should this be wired? I didn't see the exact same setup on any of RIC's web schematics. Thanks, J

Sounds like the three-way functions like the usual leaf switch, then you have a master volume, master tone (passive treble rolloff) control.

So I bought a RadioShack soldering station on clearance a few months ago, finally get it out to start using, and it has a 2-prong power plug and requires a banana plug ground wire not included! Dang! Of course they don't sell that part.

Unless I miss my guess, the ground wire going to a banana plug is for making the soldering station static safe, if you're soldering static sensitive components. There are no static sensitive components in a Rickenbacker.

Though not IN a Rickenbacker, I'm pretty static sensitive!

It just gives me an error message when I turn it on. I am starting to see why A) they discontinued these and B) they get so many bad reviews online.

An error message from a soldering iron? Man, just go buy a nice Weller and be happy.
