2?

Post by indianation65 »

I have two quick questions.
1. If I have music on my hardrive in windows media player, is there a way to get it onto the Rickenbacker forum without having those mp3 song files on a web browser? Can I cut/paste somehow straight from a hardrive to the forum? As an educator I love to learn.

2. Is it okay to share member music that has not been recorded with Rickenbacker products? I don't care for having to "ask" permission, but I thought I would anyway; simply for my own edification. I will adhere to all forum rules and accept them joyfully.

Joesph: If I understand you correctly, you will need to upload your sound files to a server and then link to them from the RickResource Forum.

You can certainly share music that is not produced by a Rickenbacker but for the CD2 some rules regarding the use of a Rickenbacker instrument apply. Whether or not you use a Rickenbacker for recording will determine the forum topic to which it is posted.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Asking permission isn't a bad thing to do, especially if you want to contribute something that may not be best suited for this thread. The RRF is pretty much all about the Ricks, so if you've got a non-Rick recording, there's a thread called 'The Others' that may be better suited for what you have in mind.
