CDXXVvLXIII...ah, forget it, let's just cut to the chase.

This little craigslist gem just fell into my lap in a span of less than 24 hours:
'99 425v63 Burgundy
Badly needs the Scratch X/Zymol treatment, but otherwise it's in great shape, with original silver case and warranty card.
I'm curious as to why nobody ever warned me before about how much BALLS these guitars have! Between the two pickup settings, it twangs and it roooooars. I've
got to record a demo of this soon. Tiny body, thin neck, HUGE tone.

Very nice John - sort of a C series missing link!

Just lucky on this one, Wes. This one was an absolute steal and I couldn't pass it up.
Somewhat bittersweet though, as I shipped out my 660/12 Blue Boy today. I'd had it for way longer than I usually keep guitars, and there was certainly some sentimental value in it, but it wasn't being played. It's gone to a forumite.

Nice JB, you are on a roll! These things always come in pairs, I swear...
425's are funny...I had no idea just how tiny they were until I bought one awhile back (well, an Electro ES17 anyways..) and they are TINY..paper thin body and neck. It felt like you could snap them in half with your bare hands. Big tone though, cool!

Go Johnny, go go go! You're racking 'em up!
Have you played "I Want to Hold Your Hand" or "She Loves You" on that little guy yet? I know you probably tested it out with one of your own songs, though.
How does it sound through an AC-30?
If you wanna sell it, I want first dibs (if I don't have the 1997SPC VB and AC-30 HW yet!)!

Cool little Rick, you got there, John.

Let's see, what would be a good name for it, hmm, Little Ricky (I know, I don't say Ricky, either), or maybe Tricky Retardo (props to Firesign Theatre).

hmmm...just out of curiosity Jake, what's the deal with which song everybody plays first on their guitar? I for one could care less when I get a new one, which song is played on it...?

I'm ususally too busy making sure I didn't get bamboozled with a bad guitar!

I love the finish. Is that a through-neck?

really gorgeous,john-i've always liked the minimalist design of this model, too. that burgandy finish would look real purdy with a gold pg/trc......
