Cheers Brett,

I'm sure she'll be in good hands. I'm looking forward to being able to play a guitar where the strings are in close proximity to the fretboard.

That'll be one well-travelled guitar Rod - will it be earning frequent flier miles for you?

Evan,

I think she clocked up a few miles in the 27 years before I owned her. I'd love to know some of her history, but she isn't talking. I'm actually tempted to fly to the States myself, drop her off and pick her up on the way back, unfortunately that's more dollars than I've got right now.

Hi all

I've recently joined the site which I found through Facebook.

I'm from Sydney and I have 2 real Rics and a related distant cousin!

My first Ric is a 1976 330 Fireglo with 21 frets which I picked up second-hand in 1979.

My second Ric is a 1966 360-12 Fireglo which I picked up in 1980.

The 'related' guitar is one Piers Crocker made for me in 2012 - it's his take on a late '50's 360F as used by Tim Rogers from You Am I.

It's nice to be here!

I have been living in Perth since 2007 but I have followed this forum since 2000. At this point I was in living in Quebec City, Canada.

What I have learned so far...

-Mining booms then busts.
-Perth is freakin' hot in the summer.
-Perth is freakin' far away from anywhere else in the World.
-Duty fees can be very high if importing a Rick costing more than $1000.

When I was a working bass player decades ago I always loved the sound of Ric Bass, and the12 string Jangle and being a Beatles/Byrds.Who nut had some influence. Eventually I could afford one, then 2 then 3. 2 years ago I sold the 4003 and 360/12 keeping the 370 mg and just recently acquired a new 4003 .

Now I have to learn to play

Back after a long absence. Dunno why the absence. Probabl due to change of jobs and computers.

A 370 MG
4003 Blue

G'day all,

I recently joined up, thought I'd stick my nose in now that I have a '91 Ricky 620 in my collection. As a newby I'll be throwing a few questions around, most I'm sure have already been asked :)
