Life at school for me

My school life has been going surprisingly well these days. I've got all A's and B's in all my classes, and I've turned all assignments in on time. I haven't failed a single test and I've been doing homework without a fuss. I get along pretty well with my teachers, and it's just a breeze. I've got exams starting Monday and they run through Thursday, with a day off from school Friday for record keeping.
Here's a question: Should I take a break from the forum this week to concentrate on my exams?

I would; it just might help to move some of those
B's over to the
A column.

Just keep doing your best in school, Jake. We'll still be here when your grades are in. You could try just limiting your visits to 15 minutes a day when test are pressing if total withdrawal seems too dire. Rest assured someone will PM you if anything exciting happens. All "A"s on that report card would send your folks over the top and earn you quite a bit of esteem around the homestead: good when planning that next rick purchase...

Does "esteem" have an F-hole and three pickups?

Not to mention a beautiful fireglo finish and an Ac'cent tailpiece?
Seriously, John, Rich and Kira, thanks for the response. I sign off tomorrow night as I have a math exam to study for that I take Monday. Tuesday, Science and an ACT Prep class. Wednesday, English and Website Contruction and Thursday, Student Mentoring and Talented Theatre.

Are you sure you'll be able to concentrate on your exams while "deprived" of the forum? That's like, "you'll be safe and sound if you sit in a barrel for four days, and remember: you should
not think of a white ape. Don't think of a white ape".

Jake, just keep studying, get plenty of rest and eat right, and you'll ace them all, I'm sure.

What time are you signing off tomorrow, Jake?
Hey guys, when do we start that 'Jake' thread we had in mind? You know the one I am talking about!
Good luck, Jake, you'll do fine.

IMHO, you might just want to take a break from visiting the forum. But you also have to strike some sort of balance between hard concentration and relaxation, between stress and relief. Your 660/12 TP is the answer. I'd play it whenever you suspect information overload is lurking around the next corner. With all of the text you're reading and perhaps writing, I'd forego doing more reading and writing of text on any forum. Yeah, makin' music is the way to go, the way to maintain your energy and focus. I'm trying this same line of reasoning with my middle-school rapscallions. I have a ways to go with this endeavor! Keep on keepin' on, JK. Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.

Tip 'o the beret to Goofyfoot, our resident lamplighter on the path of the heart, for illuminating the bigger picture. You go, you poet philosopher dude, you.

Jake, as a teacher YES! you should. YES! you most definitely should as it's the end of the quarter and grades are due. The first quarter can be a make or break time, so don't put yourself in a position to have to play catch up the rest of the year.
Take the other advice proffered though and make sure that you get some downtime as too much studying and prep can mean the same as too little.
I'm sure that if someone comes up with a 1997 reissue that's up for trade for a Fender reissue Strat, we'll get a hold of you.
Best of luck and we'll talk to you on the flipside.
