AC-30 with a twist

Bought a new AC-30TB yesterday:

Neat little gizmo..... has gain, tone and volume controls as well as an input for mp3 or CD player and runs on two AAA batteries. Add a few bits and pieces and you become totally portable and inoffensive:

Now I can play along with my favourite tracks without sending my son to his room seeking relief or deafening the cat!!

There's one for bass coming out... I'm looking forward to that one!

Why would anyone want to be inoffensive?

I received one of these for a birthday gift a few weeks back as well; have hardly been able to put it down since. :D

I'm picking up one this week, while I'm off and can play around.

Cool idea! I kinda made the same thing long ago but it actually used my amps with a mixer circuit going to headphones. This is a LOT more convenient!

It's kinda sad that they had to make 3 different models (well, probably not for their sales) though. It would be great if you could get one that could select between the different sound profiles.

Someone mentioned a bass model coming out soon, that's what I'm interested in. Anyone know whether there will be different models of that for different sound profiles?

Edit: OK, I guess I found the answer, apparently, there are 5 models, only one for bass:

Hmm, I looked with Firefox, worked great. Just tried it with IE6, got the same page. They seem to want IE7 or later, for their whole site it sounds like.

Well, you can always install Firefox, it's free and works pretty well for most things and isn't dependent on Microsoft...

Thanks, that worked. I saw these about a month ago in a GC flier. They were selling for about $30 each. But which one to buy the AC30 or the Classic Rock. I know I don't want the metal version and have doubts of the lead version.

I've had one of these for the past three or four months. Nice little personal amplifier.

I just bought the AC30 model yesterday. It sounds surprisingly good to me and I didn't turn it off all night. One thing I used it for was quickly checking the repairs I made to my "other" guitar's wiring, much more easy than firing up the whole darn rig. It also makes practicing more fun.
I can see this toy will encourage me to play more, so I'm calling it a good value. I may even try to use it for my new tracks if it records well.
