THIS WEEK IN BEATLE HISTORY 10/6 - 10/12

1960 - The Indra Club now shut down, The Beatles played their first week at the Kaiserkeller during their first trip to Hamburg, Germany.
Oct. 6th, 1964 - Eight Days A Week was started and finished at Abbey Road, with the exception of two short insert pieces.
Oct. 7th, 1963 - The Beatles played at Caird Hall, Dundee, Argus, during a short, three day tour of Scotland.
Oct. 8th, 1964 - She's A Woman was started and completed at Abbey Road.
Oct. 9th, 1940 - John Winston Lennon was born at Liverpool Maternity Hospital, Oxford Street.
Oct. 10th, 1959 - The 7th consecutive Saturday night gig at the Casbah Club, located in the Best's cellar.
Oct. 11th, 1962 - The Beatles played the Rialto Ballroom, Liverpool, at a gig entitled "Rock'n'Twist Carnival".
Oct. 12th, 1965 - Recording at Abbey Road started for the Rubber Soul album.

Wow. Hard to imagine we're looking at what would have been Lennon's 68th birthday come this Thursday, Thanks again, Kris, for posting your weekly Beatles history events.

Rubber Soul was released in time for Christmas, IIRC. Fast.

That's right, Jerry. Recording began on it October 12th, and it was released in the U.K. on December 3rd.

John would have been 68!!!!.....and i'm trying to come to grips with my eldest son turning 5 on Thursday. :shock:
